Best Biscuits in Nashville · Nashville, TN
The Loveless Cafe opened in 1951 when Lon and Annie Loveless began serving fried chicken and homemade biscuits to travelers on Highway 100 at the western edge of Nashville. More than seventy years later it's a full-fledged Southern landmark, still turning out scratch-made biscuits with house preserves, country ham, and fried chicken to hundreds of thousands of guests a year.
The old motel courtyard has grown into a campus of shops and a mail-order hams-and-preserves business, but the draw is unchanged: the biscuits, the jams, and a genuinely Nashville sense of welcome that has outlasted every food trend.

Selection is by the published criteria, evaluated on public evidence. Loveless Cafe cleared every one.
The full verification report — the specific data behind this award — is held by the business. The exact thresholds stay internal so the bar can’t be gamed. Read the methodology.

This is a dated award record, published by The Centurion Awards after Loveless Cafe cleared the 2025 evaluation for its market and category. It was not bought, voted on, or sponsored — the criteria are public, only winners are published, and an award that stops holding up is revoked, not quietly removed. Awards run one calendar year and renew only if the business clears the bar again. For everything else — hours, bookings, live reviews — go straight to the business itself.
