Club Congress began booking live music in 1985 inside the historic 1919 Hotel Congress, and quickly became the heart of downtown Tucson’s arts scene. Over four decades it has hosted artists from Nirvana and No Doubt to The 1975 and Imagine Dragons, early in their careers, alongside the local bands that fill its annual HoCo Fest.
Between the intimate indoor stage and the larger outdoor plaza, it remains southern Arizona’s signature venue: the room where national tours and Tucson’s own scene share a calendar. In 2026 that four-decade record cleared our bar: the Centurion Award for Best Live Music Venue in Tucson.
