Otto's Sausage Kitchen has been a family-run meat market in Portland's Woodstock neighborhood since Otto Eichentopf opened it in 1921. Three generations of Eichentopfs make some fifty kinds of sausage in-house, and on warm days the sidewalk grill sends the smell of hot dogs and brats down the block.
Part butcher, part deli, part beer garden, Otto's is a genuine century-old Portland institution — the neighborhood's source for house-made sausage and a grilled-dog-on-the-sidewalk ritual.
